His name will still be on the ballot this August the deadline to drop out has long since passed. I got a text message from City Hall first thing in the morning with this news. All I can say is we will need to get the word out so voters don’t cast a vote for him. Imagine if reelected he would have to vacate the seat and the new council would have to appoint someone. If he lost in the primary no need for all that. Council can as I’ve been told accept it effective on 12-31-2017 this way he’s still a councilman and if he can’t attend council meetings he doesn’t have to.
