Over the spring and summer (double dipping Dan) decided to do ordinance sweeps for the City of Dearborn Heights. The ordinance department started with the south end of Dearborn Heights in part due to the extreme rat problem that was overtaking this area of the City. Many residents received ordinance violations. I myself helped at the home of a disabled woman who didn’t have money to hire someone to clean up her yard. The director was very quick to blame residents for the blight/rat problem on the south end of the City. We all know what Double Dipping Dan thinks about the south end of Dearborn Heights. He doesn’t. Here is an example of what the residents on the south end have to look at. This is an abandoned business as you can see hard to miss from the street right?Yet for some odd reason, this empty business didn’t get one violation.
How many times did an ordnance officer drive by this property? It’s well and fine to expect the residents of Dearborn Heights keep their properties clean. We all want to live in a clean environment, but if the administration is going to welcome business into our city they should be held to the same standards. That is if you had a
Mayor that cared oh he acts like he does he talks a big game about dedicating his life to Dearborn Heights. Right. I can tell just how much Double Dipping Dan cares NOT. No maybe we don’t live with this in our neighborhoods no most of us don’t have to look at this we don’t drive by it so it’s not our problem. I say it’s everyone’s problem who lives in Dearborn Heights. Our City is far too small to have one building looking like this let alone a whole area. Our City as a whole needs to thrive people live on both ends of this City. We are one City for heaven sake when is (Double Dipping Dan) going to understand this? Never if he hasn’t yet he never will yet residents on this side of the City stay home come election day. I’ve seen the numbers after elections and so has (DDD) don’t think he hasn’t he knows where the voters are. How do you think he’s gotten re-elected? Why would you not vote to take someone who doesn’t have your best interest in mind? It’s high time that we get a Mayor who cares for all Dearborn Heights. It’s high time we as residents put someone in office that will have the best interest of all Dearborn Heights. Does the sidewalk in the picture look like something you would want to walk on? Why are the weeds all over the fence? Piles of garbage everywhere, cars, trucks, shrubs overgrown. The City doesn’t have the man-power to clean this up and send the owner/bank who ever a damn bill? It’s high time that the ordinance department (friends and family department) start paying attention to the businesses in the south end and how much those businesses are contributing to the problem of blight.
