Redistricting and Consolidation of Precincts in Dearborn Heights

The redistricting and consolidation of Dearborn Heights Precincts is done. The Mayor Voted no saying that there are going to be to many people voting at one precinct and this may cause long lines. Dearborn Heights Clerk and Council Chair the other two members of the Elections Commission voted in favor of the redistricting and consolidation.

  1. I agree with Raven, Lisa F and Linda. I was the only one voting when I went in this last time and I have voted at various times throughout the years.. I have voted in Dearborn Heights for over 36 years. What long lines is the mayor referring to ?. If anyone should be polled (no pun intended) about redistricting, it should be those few people who show up regularily for elections.

  3. Long lines…ha! .I live in an active precinct due to the many seniors in the area – I voted on Tuesday and at 4:30 PM I was voter number 78! Getting out the vote and getting people to understand this responsability and honor is a bigger issue. In 12 years of living in DH, I’ve never seen a line longer than 5 voters.
